Position SummaryJoin our Mental Health & Substance Use team for this Relief Part Time .59 Seniors Mental Health Nurse opportunity in gorgeous Cranbrook, BC. This relief position will continue until December 31, 2021 or return of the incumbent.

The Seniors MHSU nurse works with those who have moderate to severe dementia with behavioural responses due to the dementia process. The nurse travels to clients home/long term care facility to provide support and education to the client and or their caregiver.

This position will be a member of a small but mighty multidisciplinary team and requires a minimum of two years of related MHSU experience.

Job Summary:
The Seniors MHSU provides assessment, treatment, case management, community support, and as required, urgent response to clients who may also have serious functional impairment in the domains of physical health and personal, family, financial, occupational, and social life. The Registered Nurse functions as a primary clinician utilizing a variety of specialized treatment modalities/therapies for individuals, groups of clients and/or their families.

Located in the southeastern Rocky Mountain region of British Columbia, Cranbrook is the largest city in East Kootenays. Qualifications

Graduation from an approved school of nursing. Two years’ recent related MHSU experience.

Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
Current valid B.C. driver’s license.
