Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Rehabilitation Assistant to join our cohesive team within the friendly community of Oliver, BC.

We are building on our team of Casual Rehabilitation Assistants for coverage in Oliver’s South Okanagan General Hospital and Long-Term Care facilities of McKinney Extended Care and Sunnybank Retirement Centre. Under the clinical direction of a Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist or Speech Language Pathologist, the Rehabilitation Assistant carries out designated components of a rehabilitative treatment plan and/or program as directed. Identifies and reports observable social, emotional, cognitive, physical and functional factors which might impact the client’s therapeutic program and progress.

Shifts will be scheduled Monday to Friday duing the Day. Casual employment means work requirements can vary between Zero and 37.5 hours per week. Casual employees receive 12.6% of their straight time pay, exclusive of all premiums, in lieu of scheduled vacations and statutory holidays. Upon completion of 180 hours, there is option of purchasing medical, dental and extended health benefit plans.

Education, Training and Experience:
• Completion of a recognized, two-year Rehabilitation Assistant Diploma Program.
• Valid Driver’s License as required.
