HART is an essential service providing high quality care to patients whose continuous medical assessment/interventions exceed the skill set of Basic Life Support paramedics in the inter facility transport environment and supports region-wide access/flow by repatriating high acuity patients to PRH. As a regional facility and secondary referral centre for the South Okanagan and Similkameen Valley, you will be joining an excellent complement of medical specialists and healthcare professionals. Excellent radiology availability with on site Computed Tomography (CT) and part time Medical Resonance Imaging (MRI). PRH has a seven-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU). PRH also serves as the referral base for hematology/transfusion medicine for the smaller local hospitals in Oliver and Princeton. The Patient Care Tower includes a brand new ambulatory care centre, surgical services center, 84 medical/surgical inpatients beds in single patient rooms, a new medical device reprocessing unit and space for the UBC Faculty of Medicine Program.
