Position Summary

We have an exciting Relief Full Time opportunity available within our dynamic team in Cranbrook, BC. If you have strong assessment and intake skills and are comfortable responding to crisis situations in the community, apply today to join our team!

Never a dull moment, challenge yourself and your assessment and counselling skills in this role. As the Rural & Remote Mental Health Nurse, you will work as an integral part of a multidisciplinary team to provide urgent outreach, responsive assessment and treatment, case management, GP shared care, education, and support to individuals experiencing acute and/or chronic mental illness and/or problem substance use.

Nursing shifts for this position are day shifts, Monday to Friday; 08:30 to 16:30
This position is expected to end on November 29, 2021.

Strong candidates will have experience working in a mental health or psychiatric environment and be familiar with a Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PRSR) model of care.

Qualifications

Graduation from an approved school of nursing.

Two years’ recent related MHSU experience in the assigned clinical area(s) (such as Counselling & Treatment Services; Treatment, Support & Recovery Services; Crisis Response; Seniors MHSU Services; Substance Use; Developmental Disability Mental Health Services (DDMHS), etc.) or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
Current valid B.C. driver’s license.
