We are looking for a  Senior Finance Analyst you will collaborating with the senior finance manager, national donation processing, or their designate, the he Senior Finance Analyst is responsible for understanding the finance transactions as they relate to donation processing. The incumbent will be responsible for System Parity between the Philanthropy and Finance System. He/she works directly with Finance as well as interfaces with The Business System Analyst, Philanthropy or their Designate. This position supports service pack upgrades and act as the SME as it relates to the Finance Processes. This position requires attention to detail, analysis and trouble-shooting skills, positive professional attitude, and the ability to work in a team environment.

In this role, you will:

  • Reconciles and analyze System Parity between the Philanthropy system and Financial System, ensuring all unreconciled items are brought forward to Senior Finance Manager for investigation.
  • Completes monthly financial and statistical reports to ensure accuracy and follows up on any variances as required.
  • Weekly/Monthly reporting of donation pieces received/receipting totals, staff performance, Adhoc queries upon request
  • Responsible for understanding the Finance Donations Processing Operations, assisting in the prioritization of projects, and working with the Senior Finance Manager and Philanthropy Designate in support of the overall strategy.
  • Develop and sustain a strong relationship between Philanthropy and Finance, ensuring the processing and analytical departments get satisfaction across all the relevant finance processes and services.
  • Representative for service pack upgrade impacts on Finance (review and testing)
  • Work as a Finance Technician with Blackbaud Support and Philanthropy Support as needed for Finance operational issues. Logs issues with Philanthropy support and or Blackbaud Support
  • Support other Red Cross initiatives, as needed, to provide for a coordinated team effort to meeting the needs of the most vulnerable in the community.

What we are looking for:

  • The minimum qualification for this job is a completed post-secondary education in Business Administration or a related field,
  • Five years of job-related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong communication skills in English, written and oral are required french is an assets
  • Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, presentation, and influencing skills and a customer service orientation to ensure effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency and advanced Excel skills and must be able to learn and apply new technologies.
  • Attention to detail, analysis and trouble-shooting skills, positive professional attitude, and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, global environment with multiple conflicting demands, ambiguity and changing circumstances and demonstrated positive experience working in a cross-cultural environment.

Working conditions:

  • This position requires a satisfactory criminal record check.
  • Most of the work is performed in an environment which is mostly clean and comfortable.
  • The incumbent has no direct staff supervisory responsibility.
