Position Summary

We are building our Speech-Language Pathologist team in Kamloops’ Public Health and have an available relief, full time opening. This position will provide coverage until the return of incumbent; date unknown.

The Early Childhood Development Speech-Language Pathologist provides family-centered speech & language services to children from birth to school entry and their families. Responsibilities include the provision of a full range of clinical services, community consultation and education, and implementation of a population health approach to promote healthy communication in the general population. Services are offered in clinic, in families’ homes, at daycares and preschools, and in other community settings.

Days of work are Monday to Friday with weekends and statutory holidays off. • Registration as a Speech-Language Pathologist with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of BC.
• One year’s recent, related experience in working with clients in Early Childhood Development setting and/or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Valid BC Driver’s license.
