Job Description:

·        Maintain adequate stock levels

·        Negotiate prices, discounts, credit terms and transportation arrangement with suppliers

·        Establish and maintain contact with suppliers

·        Review requirements of establishment and determine quantity and type of merchandise to purchase

·        Provide customer service

·        Study market reports, trade periodicals and sales promotion materials and visit trade shows, showrooms, factories and product design events

·        Oversee distribution of merchandise to outlets and stores

·        Select and purchase merchandise for resale

Requirements:

-Education: A university degree or college diploma in business, business administration, marketing or a related field is required

-Experience: At least 1 year of experience working in retail or wholesale establishments is required

-Courses in purchasing management, production and inventory are a great asset

-Knowledge of computer programs such as: excel, inventory control software or monitoring and tracking software is required.

-Work conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work under pressure, tight deadlines, repetitive tasks, attention to detail, combination of sitting, standing and walking

-Personal suitability: Initiative, excellent oral communication, client focus, organized, accurate, flexibility, judgment, team player, excellent written communication and effective interpersonal skills

Salary: $24.04 – $25.00 hourly, 40 Hours per week

Important Information: Work Schedule is Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00PM. Overtime may be required depending on the business’ needs.
