2012 A.N.A.C. Election Results 

Rhonda Goodtrack was elected President of the Aboriginal Nurses Association of Canada (A.N.A.C.) on Saturday November 24, 2012 at the Annual General Meeting. She also holds the Education Portfolio. Miss Goodtrack is a full-time student in the Master of Business Administration program at the University of Saskatchewan.  She expects to complete her studies in 2013. Her work experience includes public health, primary health, student advisor for Aboriginal nursing students, and most recently as a nurse educator for a home health service branch in Saskatchewan.  In her role as a student advisor, she coordinated a health science summer camp for Aboriginal youth in Saskatchewan and coordinated aboriginal nursing students from the University of Saskatchewan to participate in A.N.A.C. Aboriginal Student Nurse Mentorship project. Rhonda Goodtrack also brings administrative experience when she worked for a petroleum wholesale company. She also holds a degree in Physiology. Rhonda Goodtrack is Lakota/Assiniboine from the Wood Mountain First Nation in southern Saskatchewan. 

Elections were held as follows: Sherri Di Lallo was elected to the Research Portfolio and elected as the new Vice President of the Executive Committee. Cheri Corbiere remains the Regional Representative for Ontario and Quebec. Julie Lys was elected as the Regional Representative for North of 60. Lisa Bourque-Bearskin was re-elected to hold the Leadership Portfolio. Rosalind Gott was elected as Student Representative.
