2016 Eastern Woodland ‘,Otis Nation Nova Scotia Metis Gathering

I am pleased to announce that the Eastern Woodland Metis Nation Nova Scotia is hosting a Metis Gathering from June 17,19th, 2016. The event will be held at the Legion Hall in Yarmouth (Royal Canadian legion Branch 61 at 75 Parade St, Yarmouth, N.S. BSA 3B3). Admission is free of charge,
There will be many traditional cultural activities such as drumming, dancing and smudging ceremonies. Are you hungry? If so, there will be delicious bannock bread and food from the sea available. There will also be concession tables on site as well.

There will also be story telling souvenirs which will be given out. On Saturday evening (June 18.) there is a local dance inside for all who wish to attend. We will do our best to inform all who attend about the proud heritage of the Metis of the Maritimes.

This event is open to the public, so all will be made welcome. If you require lodging the Rodd Grand Hotel (417 Main St, Yarmouth, NS BSA 482) is giving us special rates for that weekend, so you are encouraged to make your reservations early (902-742-2446).
