2020 Assembly of First Nations 41st Annual General Meeting

December 8-9, 2020 – Virtually
10:45am-6:00pm EDT both days

All Our Relations:Emerging Stronger Together

In accordance to the Charter of the Assembly of First Nations and the By-laws of the National Indian Brotherhood, an Annual Assembly is to be held in June or July of every year.  Due to the pandemic, the July 2020 Assembly had to be postponed.  We are now planning to host an Annual Assembly in December to meet our obligations under the Charter and the By-laws.  This meeting will be hosted virtually to ensure the safety and well being of the Chiefs across Canada.

For Chiefs and Proxies, there will be a number of opportunities, prior to the virtual 2020 AGA, which will help you familiarize yourself with the platform to be used. The purpose of the demo is to allow Chiefs and technical staff to become familiar with the virtual online system prior to the AGA in December.  No formal business will be conducted during these demonstration meetings and they are strictly for assisting Chiefs and technical staff to become familiar with the virtual online platform that will be used during the AGA schedule for December 8 and 9, 2020.

Chiefs and Proxies are encouraged to register before NOVEMBER 18, 2020, so they can receive their invitations to participate in the following on-line demos:

Friday, November 20 at 1:00pm EST
For Chiefs and Proxies.

Wednesday, November 25 at 1:00pm EST
For Chiefs and Proxies

If you would also like to invite your technical staff to participate in the demos please contact JMcDougall@afn.ca.
