At a livestream event on December 13, 2021, we proudly launched Defy Gravity: The Campaign for the University of Toronto—the largest fundraising and alumni engagement campaign in Canadian history. This extraordinary effort will engage our worldwide community, strengthen the University’s commitment to excellence, equity, and inclusion, and accelerate our efforts to address the biggest challenges of our time.

The campaign aims to raise $4 billion for the University’s highest priorities and inspire 225,000 alumni to engage with the University as volunteers, mentors, donors, participants, and leaders one million times. The campaign will support our community’s ambitions to discover, create, collaborate, and better the world around us.
