November 4, 2024
The annual Apprenticeship, Trades and Occupation Certification awards celebrate the outstanding achievements and top marks of apprentices and journeypersons across the NWT. This year, we recognize the top marks of 20 apprentices and 33 journeypersons, across 17 trades.
Each year, the Government of the Northwest Territories’ (GNWT) Apprenticeship, Trades and Occupation Certification awards are given for outstanding achievement during an apprenticeship or interprovincial Red Seal accomplishment. The recipients of this year’s awards are:
- Top Graduating Apprentice Award
Name: Austin Royle Doerksen
Trade: Heavy Equipment Technician - Top Interprovincial Red Seal Mark Award
Name: Julian Alexander Drover
Trade: Automotive Service Technician - Top Female Apprentice
Name: Kim Clarke Rapati
Trade: Cabinetmaker - Top Mark Recipients Award List
- Certified Journeypersons Award List
November 3 to 9 is National Skilled Trade and Technology Week across Canada, raising awareness of career opportunities in skilled trades and technology in the Northwest Territories (NWT) and Canada.
Congratulations to all of the apprentices and journeypersons across the territory who have successfully completed their training, and to those receiving top mark awards. These awards showcase remarkable talent within the NWT and highlight the contributions made by businesses and employers to the growth of NWT’s trades and technology sector.
