Artist shares culture through work – Airdrie Echo

Art has been a part of Delree Dumont’s life for as long as she can remember.

Now the painter has turned her love and skill of art into a full-time job.

“[Painting] has always been a passion of mine,” said Dumont.

Although it’s always been a love, Dumon’t didn’t get serious about her work until about a year ago. Now she tries to complete at least one piece a week.

“It’s time consuming,” said Dumont. “But it’s time well spent.”
