Brandon Montour is bringing the Stanley Cup to Six Nations on July 24

Brandon Montour is bringing the Stanley Cup to Six Nations!

A celebration will take place on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, from 1 pm until 4 pm, culminating with a parade and celebration at the Six Nations Sports and Culture Memorial Arena.

Brandon will share the Stanley Cup with the community during a parade that will extend from Ohsweken Speedway to the arena.

The celebration at the arena will include a ceremony, which includes the Six Nations Honourary Ronateríhonte (Leader) Award to Brandon, and a showing of the Stanley Cup for the public. Please be mindful that time is limited, and we anticipate thousands of fans. There will be a hard stop at 4 pm.

“We are very proud of Brandon and his accomplishments,” Chief Sherri-Lyn Hill said. “This celebration is historic and we’re glad Brandon is sharing his day with Six Nations.” Before and during the event, roads will be closed from 5th Line to the intersection of 4th Line and Chiefswood Road, and to Lawrence Jonathan Lane. A lane will be open for emergency services.

We strongly encourage guests to carpool and not park on the side of the road. There will also be food vendors at Veteran’s Park throughout the day. For more details on how to be a vendor, contact Leigh Thompson at 445-2201. Watch for more details on this celebration.
