Gerry Byrne says the Qalipu Mi’kmaq First Nation Band community is in a position to lead the province and the country in business.
The provincial minister of Advanced Education and Skills said there are many programs entrepreneurs can access to achieve economic success, including educational ones, but the most important factor is their determination and drive.
“You have a tremendous opportunity available to you, but you also have an incredible responsibility,” Byrne said during Thursday’s keynote address at Mawio’mi 2016, the 5th annual aboriginal business forum in Corner Brook, aimed at bringing the Mi’kmaq people together with educators and the business community.
