November 6, 2025 – Métis Nation–Saskatchewan (MN–S) is looking for six dedicated citizens to serve on the Harvesters Advisory Working Group (HAWG) — a representative body that provides input and guidance on issues surrounding our Section 35 rights to traditional hunting, fishing, trapping, and gathering practices.

HAWG plays a vital role in the MN–S governments efforts to engage key stakeholders on conservation topics such as endangered species and migratory bird monitoring.

We are currently seeking one MN–S Citizen from each of the following regions:

Northern Regions  1 and 2

Eastern Regions 1, 2A, and 3

Western Region 1

Interested applicants should have lived experience and knowledge in: Métis Land-Based Activities — foraging, hunting, trapping, fishing, Métis Cultural Activities — hide tanning, cultural camps, crafting with foraged materials, and Métis Rights and Indigenous Law — including the 1840 Laws of the Buffalo Hunt, R. v. Powley (2003), and the Gov’t of Saskatchewan – Treaty and Aboriginal Hunting and Fishing Rights Guide.

Youth involvement in the Advisory Group is strongly encouraged to represent the full demographics of our Nation. HAWG is open to anyone over the age of 16.

Apply here on or before Friday, November 21, 2025.  Email you application to Submit hhill@mns.ca
