Call for members for the NWT Arts Council

Individuals from the South Slave, Dehcho, and Tłı̨chǫ regions with a passion for the arts, culture, and heritage are encouraged to apply to join the NWT Arts Council. Members will serve a two-year term beginning January 2025.

Council members provide recommendations to the Minister of Education, Culture and Employment on financial awards for arts projects in the visual, literary, media and performing arts, and on issues and policies associated with the arts and artists.

Council members meet at least twice per year with meetings held either in person or by video conference.

To be eligible:

• You must live in the region you apply for
• You or your spouse cannot be currently receiving NWT Arts Council funding
• Experience and knowledge in the arts, culture and/or heritage is an asset

Previous board experience is not needed. The deadline to apply is December 15, 2024.
