Call for Provincial Sport Committee Members

Join a Provincial Sport Committee and Help Shape Indigenous Sport in BC!

I·SPARC is now accepting applications for volunteers to serve on its Provincial Sport Committees—a unique opportunity to support Indigenous athlete and coach development across British Columbia.

These committees play a vital role in planning and delivering Provincial Athlete Development Camps, Championships, and the selection processes for Team BC heading to the 2027 North American Indigenous Games (NAIG).

I·SPARC is seeking passionate leaders with experience in:

• Competitive sport (as athletes, coaches, or officials)

• Sport program delivery or administration

• Indigenous sport development, including NAIG

Each committee represents one of the following sports: Archery, Arctic Sports, Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Canoe/Kayak, Golf, Lacrosse (Box), Rifle Shooting, Soccer, Softball, Swimming, Volleyball (Beach & Indoor), and Wrestling.

What Committee Members Do:

• Help shape Team BC selection plans

• Guide the planning of camps and competitions

• Promote sport opportunities in Indigenous communities

• Support coach recruitment and development

• Contribute to long-term Indigenous sport pathways
