Canada’s Digital Technology Supercluster Appoints Industry Leader and Visionary Sue Paish as CEO

The Digital Technology Supercluster has announced the appointment of Sue Paish as its inaugural CEO. A transformational leader and innovator, Sue will be responsible for building and leading the Supercluster that will establish BC and Canada as global leaders in digital technology.

Sue brings a wealth of experience across multiple industries and a track record of growing successful businesses, leading large-scale change initiatives and advancing the applications of data-driven insights and new technologies. Her proven ability to build robust partnerships across sectors and deliver results in dynamic environments make her the ideal leader for the Digital Technology Supercluster. Under her direction, the Supercluster will support collaborative development projects to digitally transform Canada’s leading industries and create export opportunities for Canadian innovations in technology.

Sue began her career in law, where she established herself as one of Canada’s foremost employment and labour lawyers. She was the youngest managing partner at her firm, leading it through one of the most significant law firm mergers in the country (she’s a trailblazer) and growing the firm to nine offices across three continents.

She made a seamless transition to corporate executive leadership, first as the CEO of Pharmasave, Canada’s largest chain of independent retail pharmacies, where she led the introduction of new technologies for dispensing, patient education and medication management. From there she was appointed CEO of LifeLabs Diagnostic Laboratories, where she doubled the company’s size through successful acquisitions and integrations to create Canada’s largest diagnostic lab while driving organic growth, and entry into transformative markets including genetics.

In these roles Sue distinguished herself as a fearless champion of leading-edge technology, introducing new technologies and innovations that benefit patients and providers across the country. These positions have given Sue the experience and ability to take on her biggest challenge yet: building the Digital Technology Supercluster ushering Canadian industries into the future and establishing our country as a global leader in digital technology.
