Celebrating Culture in Sarnia | Ojibway artist John Williams

In commemoration of the Shell Canada Sarnia site 70th anniversary and to demonstrate respect for and partnership with neighbouring Aamjiwnaang First Nation, a painting was commissioned from local Indigenous artist John Williams which was blown up and installed on the side of a storage tank at the site. John Williams’ story, including his Indigenous roots, family influences and artistic inspirations, as well as his creative process for the commission, is captured in this video that also shows the tank art installation, unveiling and community celebration.
