Coun. Susan Flowers will represent the town on the Rotary Club’s recently formed Indigenous placemaking initiative steering committee.
In a Jan. 24 meeting, Coun. Tara McFadden nominated Flowers to the appointment after the invite was brought forth in a letter from the Rotary at a committee of the whole meeting the week prior.
“I would appreciate to work with the Rotary, our Stoney neighbours, our Indigenous residents here in Cochrane and all those that partnered to make this happen,” said Flowers upon accepting the nomination.
