City asks organizations to give employees a half day off work so they can pitch in for the community effort
It’s time for a spring cleaning of Iqaluit.
The annual community cleanup — where residents, visitors and businesspeople hit the streets to help beautify the community — is set for June 10, the city announced in a release.
“We are requesting that governments and other organizations allow their employees time away from work for a half day to be able to participate,” said city spokesperson Aleksey Cameron, in the release.
