Coronavirus: Ottawa pledges $82.5M for Indigenous mental health support during pandemic | FULL

Minister of Indigenous Services Marc Miller announced at a federal COVID-19 briefing on Tuesday that the government is pledging $82.5 million to improve mental health services in Indigenous communities during the coronavirus pandemic.

Also during the briefing, Canada’s chief public health officer Dr. Theresa Tam said when comparing the first peak of the epidemic in Canada, young people are now comprising a “majority of cases over many weeks.”

Canadian health officials recorded 563 new coronavirus cases on Monday, bringing the country’s case count to 125,647.
