Courses In The Certified First Nations Health Manager (CFNHM) Program Are Now Being Offered Through A Hybrid Model For Those Working In Or Aspiring To A Career In First Nations Health Management.

Ottawa, Monday September 21, 2020

Covid-19 has forced everyone to change the way they operate on a day to day basis. FNHMA has adapted to these challenging times by redesigning our intensive and online courses with a new and exciting hybrid course. The hybrid course format combines real time interactive sessions with your group and the ability to work online – all without travelling or taking time off work.

This new course will continue to include the high-quality content that our students appreciate in an all-new user-friendly online format. Each 11-week course will incorporate an orientation session, online postings, group chats, weekly real time discussion activities led by an experienced instructor, TA sessions, and ongoing guidance from your instructor.

This improved format offers you the chance to “meet” your instructor and course mates weekly and discuss scenarios and situations collectively and in real time. These real-time interactive sessions are only 1-hour a week to offer more flexibility to course participants and their daily lives. It also gives you the flexibility to work on your online postings on your own time.

The Certified First Nations Health Manager (CFNHM) professional designation is based on the five courses in the Certified First Nations Health Manager Program. These courses are based on building and supporting key competencies such as Leadership and Governance, Professionalism, Planning, Communication, and many more. Information about each of the courses can be found at the FNHMA website link below.

The fall semester runs from September 28, 2020 to December 11, 2020.
