In a news conference at Queen’s Park, Dr. Kieran Moore, Ontario’s chief medical officer of health, announces the expansion of eligibility for booster doses of vaccines against COVID-19 (coronavirus disease). This expansion of the province’s eligibility criteria comes following updated guidance from the National Advisory Committee on Immunization (NACI). The province is also planning for the eventual expansion of booster dose eligibility to all Ontarians. Responding to questions from reporters, Dr. Moore also comments preparations for the eventual rollout, following Health Canada approval, of COVID-19 vaccines to children aged five to eleven.
