Death of retired Justice Bonnie Tulloch

The Hon. David Akeeagok, Minister of Justice, on behalf of the Government of Nunavut, today expressed sadness upon learning of the passing of Hon. Madam Justice Bonnie Tulloch, a judge with the Nunavut Court of Justice for more than 10 years until her retirement in 2022.
“Throughout her career in Nunavut, Justice Tulloch demonstrated her commitment to Inuit, our communities, and the fair application of the law.
“Justice Tulloch had a long and influential legal career in Nunavut, having served as a Crown Prosecutor with the Public Service of Canada in the Nunavut Regional Office, as a private lawyer, and as the first Executive Director of the Nunavut Legal Services Board.
“She made an enduring contribution to Nunavut’s legal system and her dedication and service left a profound impact. On behalf of myself and the Department of Justice, I offer sincere condolences to Justice Tulloch’s family, friends and colleagues for their loss.”
