Detailed Program for 2015 Core Energy Conference now available
September 22, 2015 (Halifax, NS) – A detailed agenda for this year’s Core Energy Conference is now available at www.CoreConference.com. From offshore to onshore, renewables to non-renewables, domestic and export markets, this year’s Core Energy conference in Halifax will feature the significant energy projects that are happening in the region and topics that are of interest to energy stakeholders. Taking place at Pier 21 from September 29 to 30, the Core Energy Conference is organized by The Maritimes Energy Association.
“We are extremely pleased to present this year’s program and believe that it reflects the diversity of our energy resources and the opportunities they provide for supply and service companies,” says Maritimes Energy Association CEO Ray Ritcey.
This year, the conference has a format that includes the use of more panels. This year’s panel sessions address different aspects of the energy sector and feature high-level, experienced speakers and moderators. Panel sessions include Nova Scotia Petroleum Resource Development, Marine Renewable Energy, Aboriginal/First Nations, Maritimes Hydraulic Fracturing, Electricity and Nova Scotia LNG among others.
Nova Scotia’s Minister of Energy The Honourable Michel P. Samson will provide opening remarks at the conference. Speakers over the two days include BP’s Rob O’Connor; Peter W. Gurnham, chair of the Nova Scotia Utility & Review Board and President & CEO of Emera Newfoundland Rick Janega, who will speak to the Maritime Link Project. Lance Mortlock of Ernst & Young will provide insight into oil and gas commodities and evolving strategies that may be in play as a keynote speaker on day one of the conference. The keynote address on day two will be provided by Executive Editor and Chief Forecaster at World Oil Magazine Kurt Abraham.
