Ecclesiastical Insurance Office has announced that it has selected the national charity Indspire as the recipient of its Benefact Trust Chair’s Award.

Indspire is an Indigenous national charity that invests in the education of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis people. Through the support of its funding partners, the organization provides financial awards, delivers programs, and shares resources with First Nations, Inuit, and Métis students.

The grant is being awarded through Ecclesiastical’s 2022 Community Impact Grant program, which provides funding to registered charitable organizations in Canada for projects that make a positive and sustained impact on the community – particularly those that benefit the youth, vulnerable, and underrepresented people, or those that support unique cultural programs.

A release added that the Benefact Trust Chair’s Award is a “special” grant for 2022, as it commemorates both the 50 years of Ecclesiastical’s presence in Canada and the 50th anniversary of Benefact Trust, the company’s charitable owner.
