The general election was held on Feb. 7
Four new faces will be joining two incumbent members at Wasauksing First Nation’s council table.
The polls closed at the Wasauksing Gathering Place at 8 p.m. on Feb. 7 for the community’s 2023 general election.
A total of 598 ballots were cast for chief and council, but 12 were rejected.
CHIEF
Warren Tabobondung retained his seat as chief for another term with 142 votes. Serving as chief of the territory since 2013, this will be Tabobondung’s sixth term as leader of Wasausking First Nation.
