There could be some traffic disruptions on Highway 401 westbound today due to First Nations demonstrations.
What’s known as a rolling blockade is moving west from Cornwall to Napanee.
The blockade is a show of support for the Hereditary Chiefs of the Wet’suwet’en First Nation in British Columbia trying to stop a pipeline from being built through their territory.
Protests have been held in several areas recently including Kingston and Hamilton.
The Ontario Provincial Police say they’ll work to maintain an orderly flow of traffic to allow demonstrators to protest in a safe manner.
