• Rooftop Garden Storytime: Celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day on Saturday, June 8, at 10 a.m. (Downtown). Garden season is finally here. Let’s celebrate with a special rooftop garden storytime.

• Barrie Jazz Blues Festival: Saturday, June 8, and Sunday, June 9, 1 to 3 p.m. (both libraries). Listen to live jazz and blues performed by top Canadian and international artists at more than 25 venues throughout the Barrie area.

• Sustainability — Wooden Initial: Tuesday, June 11, 7 to 8 p.m. (Downtown). It’s time to get crafty. Design and decorate a letter for a wall or door using chipboard with the Cricut Machine. A $5 fee covers cost of materials. Limited spaces available; register at barrielibrary.ca/events.

• Historical Talk: Wednesday, June 12, 2 to 3 p.m. (Downtown). Steve Travers, Town Crier, will give an entertaining and educational talk on 18th-century crime and punishment. Visual presentation followed by Q&A.
