Foul Play Suspected in Disappearance

The Vancouver Island Integrated Major Crime Unit, Island District Tactical Team, RCMP Air Services, Search and Rescue teams and the community have been searching for Brown since she was reported missing on July 29, 2015. The whereabouts of Delores Brown remains unknown and the search continues.

Brown has never gone missing before; which raised the concern of family, friends and police. Her uncharacteristic disappearance and details of the investigation have led investigators to believe the disappearance of Delores Brown is as a result of foul play. The Vancouver Island Integrated Major Crime Unit will continue the search for Brown and circumstances surrounding her disappearance. Police have made no arrests in connection to this investigation and do not believe there is a risk to the public at this time.

Delores Brown is described as:

  • First Nations woman, 19 years old
  • Approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall
  • Weighing approximately 120 pounds
  • Delores Brown was last seen walking on the Penelakut Island on July 27, 2015
