Recognizing the importance of uniting Indigenous communities, industry expertise, and government support, Geena founded Indigenous Initiatives, a team dedicated to supporting Indigenous communities in navigating complex projects. Her efforts have helped over 550 Indigenous entrepreneurs build and grow their businesses through expert technical assistance, access to loans, and grant funding.
As the creator, executive producer, and core judge of Bears’ Lair, a hit TV show on @aptntv Geena has provided a platform for Indigenous entrepreneurs to pitch their business ideas to a panel of business moguls for a chance to win part of $180,000 in prize money. The show fosters empowerment, mentorship, and education, inspiring Indigenous entrepreneurs nationwide.
