GNU: Financial Literacy Month
02 November 2022
November is Financial Literacy Month, an annual campaign by the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada to help Canadians successfully manage their personal finances. This year’s theme, Make Change that Counts: Managing Your Money in a Changing World, has a key focus on managing debts and involves the following:
- Managing your money when interest rates rise.
- Making a plan to pay off your debt.
- Assessing financial implications before borrowing money.
- Knowing your rights when borrowing money.
The Consumer Affairs Section of the Department of Community and Government Services (CGS) would like to join in Financial Literacy Month by growing consumer awareness. The section gives advice and support to Nunavummiut to receive and resolve consumer complaints or concerns. For additional information, contact the office at 867-223-8139 or [email protected]
