GNWT announces upcoming changes to the COVID-19 Dashboard

by ahnationtalk on December 6, 202159 Views

The Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) is making changes to the NWT COVID-19 Dashboard and discontinuing the Daily COVID-19 Case Update.

Starting December 8, 2021, the NWT COVID-19 Dashboard will be updated to include community level data on active and total COVID-19 infections in NWT since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.  This information being available on the dashboard will help guide residents as they assess the level of risk related to COVID-19 when making decisions about travelling within the NWT. The community level data will be updated weekly on Wednesdays. On the other days of the week cases will be updated and reported at the regional level.

As a result of this change, the GNWT will no longer be sending out the Daily COVID-19 Case Update by e-mail, starting December 6, 2021.

The updated dashboard will look similar to the Daily COVID-19 Case Update that is currently being distributed via email. However, the industry section will not migrate to the dashboard. COVID-19 infections at remote worksites will be added to the nearest community. Worksite outbreaks and potential risks to the public will continue to be identified and communicated to the public through public health advisories.

The dashboard is intended to be updated between 2:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday to  Friday with the exception of statutory holidays.
