Why can’t Prime Minister Justin Trudeau apologize for his mistakes, considering how he loves to apologize on behalf of Canadians for historic wrongs?

Since he can apologize so easily on behalf of the country for past wrongs done to Indigenous Canadians, Sikh and Jewish refugees, homosexuals and other minorities, why can’t he apologize for his mistakes?

(When he apologized to Omar Khadr, it was for the conduct of previous governments.)

When he was prime minister, Trudeau’s late father, Pierre Trudeau, wasn’t a fan of the kind of apologizing his son has been doing since he came to power in 2015.
