Heart of Our Nation
Casper Lomayesva, from the Hopi Nation in Arizona, is perhaps one of the first Indigenous reggae artists recording today, releasing his first album in 1997. After releasing 7 albums over 20 years, including some awards for his work, Casper has recently taken time off from music and completed a degree in engineering, following his own philosophy and leading by example to help his people and community.
He is now focusing on what he loves, making music, while continuing his work with an engineering firm. His most recent release, Highest Conspiracy, is available for free download.
His new album and other events in his career are revealed in the interview.
