Indigenous communities need ‘direct’ access to global climate funds, advocate says

A report earlier this year said that Indigenous communities are 18 times more likely to be evacuated due to climate emergencies. Eriel Deranger, executive director of Indigenous Climate Action, says Indigenous communities in Canada should be able to access ‘direct’ global climate funds regardless of the country’s economic background.
