Indigenous Company Awarded Indigenous Business of the Year Award

Port Coquitlam, BC – October 21, 2021. The BC Achievement Foundation has awarded Indigenous Corporate Training Inc. (ICT) the Indigenous Business Award for companies with up to 10 employees for 2021. Founder and CEO, Bob Joseph, has guided ICT through a period of growth even during the COVID pandemic.

ICT creates educational courses for corporations and individuals who seek a better understanding of Indigenous Peoples and cultures. Courses are available as self-guided online courses, using video and interactive technologies. Live guided courses with instructors delivering the courses via online video conferencing are also available. When COVID restrictions are lifted, some of these courses may be made available in classrooms across the country.

According to Cathryn Wilson, Executive Director of the BC Achievement Foundation, Indigenous Corporate Training (ICT) was chosen because of its commitment to Indigenous culture, traditions and history and imparting that information to non-Indigenous businesses and individuals to build bridges among and between the communities.

“I so appreciated hearing [Bob Joseph] speak of ICT’s growth and development, and his own personal journey toward giving back,” she stated. “We are looking forward to elevating [ICT’s] business and sharing your story of excellence.”

Mr. Joseph is grateful and honoured to accept this award on behalf of Indigenous Corporate Training Inc.  Our entire team are very pleased that our contributions to bringing Truth and Reconciliation awareness and education to non-Indigenous companies and individuals is being recognized. We see it as an acknowledgement that we are playing a part in bringing all people together.”
