The workshop will have 15 Indigenous writers from across the country working with mentors
The Audible Indigenous Writers Circle has begun with 15 Indigenous participants from across the country workshopping their writing with five mentors over the coming months.
Two of the five mentors are Edmonton-based – Inuk writer and academic Norma Dunning, and Metis writer and professor Chelsea Vowel. The others are Tanya Talaga, Richard van Camp and Kim Wheeler.
Vowel, began her career as a blogger and says it’s important for Indigenous people to have a space when they can develop their writing abilities .
