iPolitics AM: Committee to consider probing Neo Lithium takeover – iPolitics

As previewed by iPolitics earlier this week, members of the House INDUSTRY committee are set to assemble for a special session to discuss whether to launch an immediate review of the sale of Canadian mining company Neo Lithium to China’s Zijin Mining Group. (3:30 – 5:30 PM)

Earlier this week, the Conservatives filed the necessary paperwork to force the chair to convene the mid-recess meeting, which was co-signed by New Democrat MP Brian Masse. According to the request, it will focus on the federal government’s decision not to conduct a national security review of the proposed purchase.
