In the spirit of maintaining a progressive and constructive line of dialogue between the Métis Nation of Ontario (MNO) and First Nations in the province, MNO President Margaret Froh wrote to the Chiefs of Ontario (COO) to clarify some misconceptions that are being re-iterated in the discourse around Bill C-53. It is the sincere hope of the MNO that we can re-establish positive working relations for the benefit of all Indigenous peoples in Ontario — First Nations and Métis alike.
