Media Advisory – Counting of Special Ballots in Ottawa
GATINEAU, Friday,Members of the media are invited to visit Elections Canada’s Distribution Centre to take photos and shoot video of the counting of special ballots cast by Canadians outside of their riding, including those living abroad or travelling, those away for work or school, those who voted on campus, Canadian Armed Forces members who voted at military polls and incarcerated electors.
An Elections Canada representative will be available to explain how special ballots are counted and reported. In addition, a sample of the ballot for Carleton (Ontario), featuring 91 candidates, will be on display.

Visitor parking is available.
Security passes will be required. All members of the media who want to attend are asked to email Elections Canada in advance at media@elections.ca.
