Media Advisory – Invitation / National Day of Action
WENDAKE, QC, June 28 – Within the scope of the “National Day of Action” on June 29th, the Assembly of First Nations of Quebec and Labrador (AFNQL) wish to inform that it will be distributing, in Quebec City and in Montreal, between 9 h and 11 h, a flier to passers-by to raise the public awareness of Quebecers and Canadians on the key issues which the First Nations are confronted with. <>
Please take note that the Chief of the AFNQL, Mr. Ghislain Picard, will be distributing fliers between 9 h 45 and 11 h at the Berri-UQAM metro station (corner Saint-Denis and Maisonneuve). Mr. Picard will be available for interviews and photo opportunities on the premises.
Mr. Picard will also participate at the “March of Solidarity with First Nations of Canada” which will start at noon on the corner of Sherbrooke and Park avenue and finish at Park Jeanne-Mance.
The Assembly of First Nations of Quebec and Labrador is the regional organization representing the Chiefs of the First Nations of Quebec and Labrador.
