Media advisory – Minister Anandasangaree joins partners to announce next steps in Indigenous-led conservation in the Northwest Territories

Behchokǫ̀, Northwest Territories – November 13, 2024 – Media representatives are advised that the Honourable Gary Anandasangaree, Minister of Crown-Indigenous Relations,
will make an announcement on behalf of the Honourable Steven Guilbeault, Minister of Environment and Climate Change, regarding an Indigenous-led conservation and stewardship agreement. He will be accompanied by Dahti Tsetso, Deputy Director of the Indigenous Leadership Initiative; representatives from Indigenous governments; the Honourable Jay Macdonald, Minister of Environment and Climate Change for the Government of the Northwest Territories; and Tom Dillon, Senior Vice President, The Pew Charitable Trusts.
