Media Advisory: Minister Dempster to attend Federal-Provincial-Territorial Meeting of Ministers Responsible for the Status of Women

The Honourable Lisa Dempster, Minister of Children, Seniors and Social Development, will attend the 36th Annual Federal-Provincial-Territorial meeting of Ministers Responsible for the Status of Women from October 16 to 19.

Federal-Provincial-Territorial Ministers will meet with national Indigenous leaders and representatives this week prior to the commencement of formal Federal-Provincial-Territorial meetings. Meetings are being held at the Kwanlin Dün Cultural Centre, in Whitehorse, Yukon.

The Federal-Provincial-Territorial Ministers Responsible for the Status of Women meet regularly to explore ways to achieve equality for women and girls, and to exchange information on issues affecting women and girls in Canada, particularly in the areas of economic security, gender-based violence and gender equality.
