$30,000 top prize, one of the largest prizes in Canadian children’s literature, to be awarded at the TD Canadian Children’s Literature Award gala in Toronto

TORONTO, Nov. 15, 2016

WHAT:

TD Bank Group and the Canadian Children’s Book Centre will reveal the recipient of the 12th annual TD Canadian Children’s Literature Award at a gala in Toronto on November 17, 2016. The award recognizes the most distinguished English-language children’s book of the year with a $30,000 prize – one of the largest in Canadian children’s literature. One of the five finalists will also be presented with the $5,000 TD Fan Choice Award, as voted on by Canadians ages 5 to 13. In recognition of their exceptional contribution to Canadian children’s literature, TD will also award $10,000 to be shared among the four remaining finalists.
