Minister Rickford Announces Participation in Annual Meetings with Provincial and Territorial Energy and Mining Counterparts

HALIFAX, NOVA SCOTIA — The Honourable Greg Rickford, Canada’s Minister of Natural Resources, will participate in his annual meetings with his federal and provincial energy and mining counterparts on July 19 and 20.

He will deliver keynote remarks discussing Canada’s plan for Responsible Resource Development and new milestones achieved in partnership with the provinces related to jobs, environmental protection and First Nations engagement.

These annual meetings bring together federal, provincial and territorial ministers to discuss cooperation and opportunities related to energy and mines, while defining priorities within governments’ respective jurisdiction for the coming year.
