MNP: Fort McMurray Fires
MNP: Fort McMurray Fires
During the past few days Canadians have watched an unprecedented evacuation effort in which more than 88,000 people, including our MNP team, fled their homes and businesses as wildfires and smoke engulfed the city.
Like other residents, our 26 Fort McMurray team members have found refuge with family and arranged accommodation outside the region, several after watching as their homes went up in flames. But as many have said, possessions can be replaced. The resilient nature and drive to thrive has always earmarked Albertans and will continue as the residents and businesses of Fort McMurray regroup and start planning for the future.
MNP sends our deep appreciation and gratitude to the hundreds of firefighters, emergency personnel and volunteers who are all doing their best to look out for the well-being of the people of Fort McMurray and surrounding areas as they deal with and overcome this crisis.
We are committed to making the communities we work and live in stronger and stand behind the city, the region and its people, now and for the long term.
If you would like to assist the people of Fort McMurray and region, please contact the Canadian Red Cross.
