MNP’s Reach Out, Pay Forward Campaign to Donate 5% of New Referral Client Fees

October 12 2017, MEDICINE HAT, AB – MNP LLP, one of Canada’s largest accounting and business consulting firms, is paying it forward, contributing a part of the fees of each new Medicine Hat client referred to the firm towards a worthy community organization. Starting October 12, 2017 and running for a year, for every referral provided to MNP Medicine Hat office, MNP will reach out and make a donation of five per cent of our first year’s fees to The Medicine Hat and District Food Bank Association.

“Every year we will work with a local not-for-profit organization which is recognized for their contributions to the Medicine Hat community, “said Greg Anderson, CPA, CA, Regional Managing Partner. “MNP is committed to strengthening the communities we work and live in and are proud to do our part to make Medicine Hat an even better place to live by supporting organizations like The Medicine Hat and District Food Bank through our Reach Out – Pay Forward campaign. We recognize and praise the food bank for the tremendous work they do in support of those in need in the community.”

The Medicine Hat and District Food Bank currently addresses food insecurity in our community by offering emergency food to some of our community’s most vulnerable citizens. Their food bank is already unique in the province because they endeavor to provide things typical food banks do not, such as meat, fresh vegetables and fruit and are currently working to continue this innovative spirit in our organizations by working towards changing the way that we address poverty and hunger within our communities. They believe in treating all people with compassion and dignity. Through that, they hope to reach people and help them to create meaningful change in their lives.

Medicine Hat and District Food Bank’s Co-Executive Directors, Celina Symmonds and Tammy Vanderloh, say they are grateful and excited about being selected to be a part of MNP’s Reach Out Program. “These funds mean a great deal for our association because it will be money that we can use where it is needed most and allow us to help more families in need.”

“MNP shares the food bank’s philosophy in that the best way to meet hunger needs is in collaboration with others who share our common purpose. That is why working with other agencies in our community is so important,” adds Anderson. “We also commend all of the volunteers that give of their time and all those that get involved to deliver the programs and services that reflect the needs in the community. Working together we can make a difference in the lives of people and strengthen our community.”
